Independent online-safety guidance service — not a government authority
Online Safety Guidance

We help you find the right door to report harmful content online.

Meta Company is an independent awareness and referral service. We don't host, block, or remove content ourselves — we point you to the official hotline, regulator, or platform team that actually can, and explain your rights under the EU Digital Services Act.

Who we are

Your safety online — a guide, not a gatekeeper.

Modelled on hotline networks such as FSM Germany, INHOPE members and eSafety-style commissioners, we help people who don't know where to turn when they encounter harmful content on the internet.

01 — GUIDE

We explain the process

Plain-language guidance on what counts as illegal or harmful content, and which authority or platform is responsible for acting on it.

02 — ROUTE

We route your report

Every category on this site links directly to the official hotline, regulator, or platform reporting tool with jurisdiction to act.

03 — ESCALATE

We escalate general concerns

Through our hotline and legal contacts, we can pass on general concerns to relevant authorities and platform support teams for review.

IMPORTANT

What Meta Company can and cannot do

We cannot block, remove, or delete content on any website, app, or platform. We have no technical or legal authority over third-party services, and we do not operate as a court, police force, or government regulator.

We can pass general concerns and referrals to the relevant law-enforcement bodies, data-protection authorities, and platform support/trust-and-safety teams — and we can tell you exactly how to report something yourself, directly and immediately, without waiting on us.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, always contact your local emergency services first — do not wait for a reply from any hotline, including this one.

Report Guide

Choose a category. We'll show you exactly where it goes.

Each card links to the real organisation with authority over that type of content. Clicking "Report via" opens their official channel — we never ask you to send us illegal material directly.

Applications

Report directly on the platform where you saw it.

Most harmful content is removed fastest through the platform's own reporting tool. Tap a service below for its official reporting or safety centre page.

Digital Services Act

Know your rights as a user in the EU.

We operate with the DSA's "notice-and-action" framework as our reference point — we help you use the rights the regulation already gives you, rather than replacing them.

ART. 16

Notice-and-action mechanisms

Platforms must provide an easy way for anyone to flag illegal content, and must act on well-founded notices.

ART. 20

Internal complaint-handling

If a platform removes your content or rejects your report, you have the right to appeal that decision internally.

ART. 21

Out-of-court dispute settlement

You can escalate unresolved disputes with a platform to a certified independent settlement body.

ART. 22

Trusted flaggers

Certain vetted organisations get priority review of their notices. We are not a certified trusted flagger — we help you reach the ones who are.

Questions

Before you report, a few honest answers.

The most common questions people ask before sending us a report.

No. We have no technical or legal power to remove, block, or delete anything on a third-party site. We route your report to whoever does — the platform itself, a specialised hotline, or a regulator.

We only see what you send us by email. We don't publish it, and we only share it further with the specific authority or platform team relevant to your report, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

It depends entirely on the receiving authority or platform — we can't promise a timeline or an outcome. For anything urgent or dangerous, always use the direct emergency or platform channel, not this site.

Tell us the platform, the URL, and which country's law you believe it breaks. We'll point you to the right jurisdiction — often the country where the platform's users are located, or where the harm occurred.

No. We're an independent guidance service. We are not TikTok, Telegram, YouTube, or any other platform, and we're not a court, police force, or DSA regulator — we simply help you find the door that is.
